Hill Country Arborist was founded in 2001 by Neal Howerton, an ISA Certified Arborist with more than 40 years of experience in the tree care industry. Neal began his journey in the late 1980s, learning the craft and science of arboriculture before returning to Austin to start Hill Country Arborist. His goal was simple, to provide reliable, knowledgeable, and hands-on tree care that homeowners could trust.

From the very beginning, we’ve taken pride in doing things the right way. Every consultation, pruning, or removal is handled with attention to safety, education, and long-term tree health. Neal personally supervises or participates in nearly every project, giving customers the confidence that their property is in expert hands.
